Fine Art
Jeffrey Lee Mihalich closely studied the masters of Fine Art Photography beginning in High School.
My main focus was a group in California who called themselves Group f/64 which included Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, John Paul Edwards, Preston Holder, Consuelo Kanaga, Alma Lavenson, Sonya Noskowiak, Henry Swift, Willard Van Dyke, Brett Weston, and Edward Weston. This group helped define landscape imagery like no one else had. Adams is considered by many to be the greatest landscape photographer ever.
Utilizing applying modern tools with old-school techniques, I have honed my skills over the last 40 years. My fine-art images are a way to channel my creativity outside of images created for clients. These images were created out of a passion for art, not for commercial purposes.
Creating art images helps improve my commercial skills, as I can test techniques and tools and how they impact the final product. Recently I have been able to use Drones to capture images from vantage points previously inaccessible. New cameras, Digital techniques and software are changing how images are produced.
I have been asked over the years to make my images available for purchase, I humbly present them here.
